I am Artūrs Šulbergs, DOP and cam op based in Riga, Latvia, working across Europe. Over the years, I have collaborated with productions in Latvia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy, working on short narratives, documentaries, fashion projects, and promotional videos.I started out as a camera assistant and gaffer while working in Latvia and the United Kingdon. Later, having the chance to work with 16mm film, helped me shape a more concise and intentional approach to lighting and storytelling.My belief is that strong cinematography should not draw attention to itself, but function as an extension of the story and deliver emotional flow.
